Sulejman Veličanstveni Epizode: I've been meaning to get into portraits for a while now, but have stayed away because quite frankly I don't think my current skill set really is there yet. this is a fictitious portrait of Suleiman the Magnificent, Sultan of Ottoman Empire from 1520-1566, a hugely important figure in history. again, it's music that brought me here, earlier I was cleaning and blasting "the absence of truth" by ISIS ( actually been on repeat for the last 4 hours ) and in the vinyl inlay is a quote "Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted" which was subsequently and heavily used in the game "Assassins Creed" - part of that story takes place in the Ottoman Empire during their reign of Suleiman, and hence my choice. anyway, there you have it. stay curious, keep pushing and stay the fuck off the internet. #portrait #suleiman #art #drawing #illustration #onlyblackart #handmade #blacklodges by stevenvogel
